In My Mind’s Blog

Lucas is officially 1 month old today!  I was planning to take him to those cheap photo studio places to get his photo taken today but I had a doctor’s appt. and when I got back home I was stuck taking care of him the whole day.  My days are like the movie Groundhog Day.  It’s always the same, feed the baby, burp the baby, change his diapers, put the baby to sleep and the cycle continues.  Did I mention, I’m also sleep-deprived?  Manny helps out and I don’t know what to do when his 6-week leave is over and he has to go back to work.  Anyway, that’s been my life right now…oh yeah, I also developed Mastitis on my right breast which is no fun.  It’s too graphic to describe but I have to put that in. Sigh!  I have new found respect for breastfeeding moms and moms who have more than 1 kid. You gals are crazy!  How do you manage?  All I know is that right now I’m not feeling like a Yummy Mummy…it’s more like Yucky Mummy.  Oh, don’t get me wrong I love my little Lucas…he’s my life right now but I just wish I’ll be able to find time for myself again. Hmmm.
