In My Mind’s Blog

Since my husband already went back to work, I decided that I would build up the courage to get out of the house and drive to do errands with my little baby last Monday (4/10/06).  I just told myself that I have to do it eventually so why not start now?  So I did.  To my surprise it wasn’t bad at all.  As I drove off from my garage, I could see little Lucas’s head in the rearview mirror.  He was just smiling and cooing. I was making sure that he wasn’t flopping around.  During the drive he fell asleep.  Our first stop was the Office of Vital Statistics to get his birth certificate.  Second stop was the mall to get a nice portrait from Picture People.  When we got to the place, the photo studio was buzzing with little kids.  I asked the workers if they could take a picture of my darling and they said they’re booked till 5pm.  How the hell would I know that all the kids are taking their Easter photos that day?  So, I felt that my little baby and I were snubbed so we proceeded to just cruise around the mall.  I was telling myself that I’m sure they have the Easter Bunny photo stand somewhere and yes they did!  To my surprise there was not a huge line. I guess it’s because it was a Monday and a lot of people were still at work.  Also, it only took 5 minutes after the photo shoot to get your printed photos.  Anyway, I had my baby’s photo done.  As you guys can see on the photo I posted on my profile page, baby wasn’t really happy in it coz I woke him up and that was the only photo where his eyes were open hehehe.  Anywho, I’m real proud of that photo because it is a reminder of my first outing with Baby Lucas—just by ourselves.
