I thought I had problems

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

So anyway, my husband and I suspect that our next door neighbour’s kid stole our playstation from the granny suite above our garage.  Why so?  Because there is no way in hell that passersby can see if the door is open unless you live right next door to us.  I am freakin’ out and want to get a security system installed.  We know that the person is not a professional, the stupid thief forgot to get the cables, he or she only took the box and forgot to take the games.  I am not distraught about the darn thing but what I’m worried about is that one day that person might try to get their way in the main house and damn it to hell if they harm my baby.

I told my story to one of my classmates in my Stained Glass class.  (Yup, taking stained glass folks and hating it because of the cuts, ouch!)  Anyway, she then proceeds to say that she wishes her worries are as little as mine.  She said that there’s this 10 year old kid in her street that causes a lot of grief and the kid’s grandma keeps calling the cops on her dad because he’s colored (he’s Filipino BTW).  Yah, I guess I have to see it from a different light, that there are people with worse problems than mine.  But shit, can I just not worry about intruders getting into my home, especially my own neighbors.

I am going to go up to the mom later and just warn her that we were broken into last weekend and that she should be concerned because she also has a baby in the house.  I am not going to point any fingers but maybe it’ll just trigger something so that they know we’re keeping a watchful eye.  We’ll see, maybe I’ll create a new enemy today.  To be continued….
