Lazy Sunday

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I felt like I slept thru the whole day today.  My side of the family had our annual holiday party last night and we stayed up till 1 am.  Lucas was so overwhelmed with the stuff he got.  This morning, he had me assemble his Hotwheels race track (thanks a lot Ninang Bambi…hehehe). I swear I was working on that thing for a good hour.  Whoever drew the instructional illustrations is a jerk.  The instructions are as worse as the IKEA ones.  I wanna smack that person on the head and strangle them.  The drawings were spilling off the next step and I was getting confused. I thought to myself that this was such a cruel Xmas morning joke for parents (effin, sadistic illustrators).

Anyway, hope everyone’s having a great holiday break.  Later!

Haha!  What a cool Xmas surprise!  I found out that I received an A+ for my Writing in Art class. Yey!

Ahh Christmas is fast approaching and I’m still not done with my gift list.  I also feel terrible Lucas didn’t have his photo taken with Santa yet.  Crap!  Bad mommy.  I also apologize to all if I seem to be anti-social lately.  These days I have to think about so many things like how to save money on gas, utilities, food, clothing, daycare, etc., etc.  My family and I can’t be too frivolous and carefree with our spending habits when all of a sudden we might not have jobs tomorrow.  Since I work for the state, the governator is thinking of ways to cut back to prevent major layoffs.  There are talks of furloughs, but we were assured by the chancellor it will not happen to us.

Anyway, it’s so scary to think that our society might experience the second coming of the Great Depression.  I just pray for every-one’s well-being (health, spiritual and financial) and the restoration of our trust with the powers-that-be.  Happy Holidays to all!

Today was a rough day.  Had to deal with liars, insensitive peeps and just plain rudeness…I am so looking forward to the long holiday break.

Christmas is nearby and I have been working on some handmade projects to gift-out.  So economical and so much fun making them, each one a “labor of love. “  I’m contemplating…if I’m good enough, I’d be able to sell some items on Etsy.com.  If I feel that I suck (based on recipient reactions) then I’ll stop and move on to another craft adventure.  Hmmmm….quilling sounds interesting.
